How this course works

Each lesson mixes short notes on this page with hands-on work in the simulator. Here is how the pieces fit together before your first lab.

Task

Silicon simulator

Create circuits with metal traces, transistors, and ports. Run the simulation to see how signals move through your design.

Press Start when you are ready. You can toggle inputs, pan around, and use the toolbox to build or edit the circuit.

Touch

Explore: Tap input ports to toggle them. Drag with two fingers to pan.
Build: Choose a tool, then tap or drag in Paint or Erase mode.
Zoom: Pinch to zoom around your fingers.
Toolbox: Tap the mode button for Paint, Erase, Select, and Interact. Long-press tool slots for labels.

Keyboard and mouse

Pan: Hold Space and drag, or use middle-mouse drag.
Zoom: Scroll wheel toward the cursor.
Run / pause: R or Enter to run, P to pause.
Tools and modes: 1-5 pick tools. B, E, and V switch Paint, Erase, and Select.
Edit: Ctrl/Cmd + Z/Y undo or redo. Ctrl/Cmd + D duplicates; Esc cancels.
